Bank Al Maghrib's CSR policy: a new impetus to the Bank's social commitment

As a central bank, Bank Al Maghrib's social responsibility is at the heart of its core missions that are oriented towards the general interest. Aware of its role in the service of society, the Bank has, for many years, included sustainable development among its strategic orientations and has been strongly involved in projects with high economic and social impact. It has also undertaken several actions to reduce its environmental impact and strengthen its governance and social commitment to its employees.

As part of its 2019-2023 strategic plan, the Bank has set itself the ambition of better structuring and sustaining its societal commitment, through a coherent and credible CSR policy, a roadmap deployed throughout its organization, and appropriate monitoring and reporting systems.

The Bank's CSR policy revolves around five axes - "Legal & Ethical", "Economic", "Social", "Environmental" and "Societal", and covers twelve commitments. It was developed through a participatory approach with its main stakeholders. Through this policy, Bank Al Maghrib reaffirms its CSR commitment to its various stakeholders and its contribution to the sustainable development goals set within the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda.

Further information can be found in the Bank's CSR policy and the CSR booklet which presents the steps taken to structure the Bank's corporate social responsibility approach as well as the key elements that characterize it.
