Discover the history of Morocco through the history of its currency…

Some 1,200 coins, objects, monetary instruments and banknotes are exposed in a high quality museographical collection.      
The displayed coins cross borders and times to reflect civilizations from different eras: Greece and the Hellenestic world, Carthage,  Rome and Islamic East and West. Furthermore, Morocco has a privileged position in this exhibition, with different items covering a period extending from ancient times to the present day.

The Museum also features a beautiful collection of banknotes that illustrates the strategic and political dynamics behind the Moroccan monetary exercise and, thus, constituting a privileged witness to history.
