An invitation to discover the Moroccan historical and cultural heritage

The Museum houses a large numismatic and artistic collection that reflects many centuries of the kingdom’s history and highlights the fundamental missions of the issuing bank.

• Made up of more than 30,000 coins, objects, monetary instruments and banknotes, the History of Currency Area traces back- through a chronological panorama - the history of Moroccan coins and notes from ancient times to the present day.

• With more than 800 items, the Art Gallery  presents a permanent collection of eighty works of art. From the first representations of Morocco by Orientalist artists to the Moroccan painting with all its various components, the Bank Al-Maghrib collection pays tribute to the great Moroccan and foreign masters with their different trends…

• The Bank Area presents Bank Area presents the history of Bank Al-Maghrib in its relation with that of the Nation and explains the missions and activities of the Central Bank, as well as the role of currency in the economy.
