Bank-notes and Coins circulation
By virtue of Law n°76-03, Bank Al-Maghrib has the privilege of issuing Moroccan banknotes and coins. It is the unique authority responsible for assessing and defining the quality of banknotes and coins in circulation.
To fulfill this important function, Bank Al-Maghrib entrusts to Dar As-Sikkah the responsibility of designing and issuing Moroccan banknotes and coins.
The circulation of the national currency is carried out through Bank Al-Maghrib's branches which provide banks and public accountants with banknotes and coins in order to supply national market with money in circulation.
