WHAT IS THE CENTRAL CREDIT REGISTER ?

The Bank Central Account Register (BACR) compiles, on the basis of the declarations of the reporting institutions, all the openings, modifications and closures of bank accounts. However, it neither tracks nor records any information relating to the operations carried out on the said accounts or on their balances.

 

HOW DOES THE CENTRAL CREDIT REGISTER WORK ?

Since its creation in 2009, the Central Credit Register has been functioning on an outsourcing basis. Bank Al-Maghrib (delegator) collects from the credit establishments the documents and information (loans granted to customers, customers compliance with loans repayments terms and financial difficulties related to the loan repayment), and sends them to the Credit Bureau (delegatee), the aim being to ensure a proper functioning of the central register. The delegatee prepares information documents on loans by consolidating, maintaining, processing and analyzing the financial data relating to the indebtedness of credit institutions customers.

 

WHO CAN CONSULT THE CENTRAL CREDIT REGISTER ?

Prior to granting the loan to the customer, the credit institutions are obliged to interrogate the Credit Bureau in order to get the solvency report pertaining to each customer. Any customer or his agent has the right to get his solvency report upon presenting his identity document.

 

HOW CAN I ACCESS TO MY INFORMATION IN THE CENTRAL CREDIT REGISTER ?

You can get your solvency report from the institution CREDITINFO MAROC. You can address you queries directly to the institution or by mail to the following address :

HOW CAN I OPPOSE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THE CENTRAL CREDIT REGISTER ?

You can oppose the information appearing in your solvency report to the CREDITINFO MAROC within fifteen days after the date on which you received it, whether directly in the institution or by sending a mail to the following address:
